Black grass??

    when i start my game up all the lots look normal but the grass around it is all black whats causing this and is there a way i can resolve it?

    Also i have a high performance graphics card and a big hard drive but my comps memory is low and power supply are old

    Wow black grass? Wow that has to be something with your graphics. I have never seen that before.

    Then maybe it can be speed but usually when my computer is slowing down and loading stuff, it is just white until it loads 2 secs later. I think that is a graphics issue.

    Do you use custom content and mods? It can be one of them. If so, cut them and paste them in a temp folder and see how it is without the custom content.

    Could be the low memory, or I really think you may be missing some kind of file if no one offers any other solutions backup your saves and uninstall and reinstall your game.

    i just reinstalled sims so i havent updated (mainly because my computer dc me and i lose my progress on the update) so i dont have any mods or cc

    Usually it is... Maybe it's your pc's DirectX isn't compatible with the sims'... I had that problem with another game, the ground was all black... I had to change the configuration of the DirectX and it was fine...

    Try to search this, it'll teach you how to change the DX sets...

    If you have not done so already, turn on Advanced Rendering from the Graphic Settings screen in the game options.

    This happened to me on my old computer once.
    My computer had low memory.
    So i uninstalled some programs i didn't need, then it started working.
    I wouldn't recommend this if you have REALLY low memory though.
