Missing folders?

I have a Windows PC and under Program Files (x86)/Electronic Arts, I do not have a The Sims 3 folder. I have folder for my expansions such as The Sims 3 Pets and The Sims 3 Late Night, but I don't have one for the base game. I kinda need to find it to apply a fix to my game, but... It has decided to go on vacation. Is it some type of bug or am I just stupid? ;_;

Did you install them differently? Some through Origin, maybe another one with Steam?

Main install should read: C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3

You have no Sims folder at all? Does the game run? Do you have any Sims 3 folders under Origin games?

I installed most of them by disk, but some by Origin. I'm not sure if the game itself runs (I don't have enough time to play it right now), but the Launcher does run. I have Generations and Town Life Stuff under Origin Games.

Though, I noticed, I couldn't get the Launcher to open by using the desktop icon for TS3; I had to click Play in Origin. I've haven't actually played Sims 3 on this computer before, but I have run it.

Maybe it's just because I'm bad at hide-and-seek.

If you just need to find the 'TS3.exe', go to 'C:\Program Files (x86)' and type TS3.exe in the search.

Once it does show up (hopefully), you can right click on it, and choose 'open file location', to see where it's at.

I restarted my computer and installed a few updates and I finally found it. I'll be sure to remember your "Open File Location" tip!
It ended up being under Origin Games (though it wasn't there until I updated... Weird.)
But now I can't get the launcher to come up unless I open it through Origin. At least that I can deal with.

Personally, I only use the launcher when I have Store stuff to install. Do you know you can run the game without the launcher?

If you found your 'TS3.exe'; you can make a shortcut to it. By 'Right+Clicking' with your mouse on the 'TS3.exe' and pressing 'create shortcut', and then you can place that shortcut on the desktop, or wherever it it most convenient for you. Then you can just load the game without the launcher, using that shortcut.

I never actually thought of that... I knew I could start the game without the launcher (I had major launcher problems on my desktop .-. ) but I never thought of making it a shortcut. I'll have to try that, thank you!
