About This Mod

The Sims 4 has taken a page out of The Sims 2's book by making it spectacularly easy to become a social outcast. Many people were complaining that relationships decay too quickly, so it was about time a mod was made for this.

This mod will completely eliminate relationship decay. The screenshot below shows how the relationship between Darla Parker (my guinea pig sim family's daughter) and Alexander Goth played out after two weeks of completely ignoring the poor boy. The romantic bar is empty because of decay before the mod was successfully developed. This mod will not decay romantic relationships (in other words, choose wisely whom you romance).




Installation

To install this mod, copy the zip file (do not extract it or ninjas will come to your house!!) to your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods folder.

When in your game, go to your Options menu (the three dots on the top right-hand corner), and navigate to "Game Options > Other". Fill the box next to "Script mods" by clicking on it.

Lastly, make sure you enjoy the heck out of this mod!

- 9/18/2014 8:37 AM GMT +2: Working on update to the mod that will allow for slowdown of decay. So far, I've managed to pull up some stats in the console, but nothing further than that. I'll take as much free time as I can to finish this, but it's a bit of a haul, considering the complexity of relationships compared to, say, needs.

- 9/18/2014 9:40 AM GMT +2: Lots of progress!! I managed to be able to split friendship and romance relationship decay data. The new version of the No Decay mod will let enemy relationships decay, but won't allow friendships to decay. It will also allow romances to decay in one version and disallow romance decay in another version. I will have to make clear details on the downloads so you know which file to get, since I'm also going to post new downloads for two different decay rates (70% and 50%) like I did with my needs mod. 30% of original decay rate is perhaps too insignificant. If enough people ask for it, I *will* provide it.

- 9/18/2014 6:56 PM GMT +2: Change of plans! I am now looking into making a unified version of the mod instead of distributing a confusing amount of zip files and scripts, as has been originally planned. If everything works correctly, you'll be able to set your romance and friendship decay separately. Commands will be something like "friendship.decay 40", where "40" would represent the percentage of decay compared to the original TS4 setting.
