After updating with the new Christmas stuff, my existing sims cant cook!?! ss

My sims family I had been using before the Holiday update now won't cook at all!! When I click on the oven or fridge and choose the dish, my money comes out like it is charging me for her to cook but then it never even shows the chef's hat on my actions and she doesn't move!! Her husband can't now either!!! Please help?!?!

The same thing is happening to me! I have a few a few mods in my game. Any advice? Maybe someone know which mod it is?

They do generally advice to remove the mods when you're installing updates.
I'm not sure if the problem should go away if you take them out, reinstall, and then put them back in...
But it's worth a shot?

I know this post is old but it happened to me as well. Like recently. I fixed it by right-clicking the picture of my game and choosing "repair". I also had them cook using a grill till I figured out how to fix the glitch.
