Is EA censoring topics?

I thought people should know. I was on the new Sims forums last night, I passed out while reading a 7 page thread called "So glad I cancelled my pre-order" and when I opened my browser today, the topic was mysteriously "not found". It seems that posts where people are merely expressing their distaste for the game are being flat out removed. I personally am undecided as I have not bought it yet but I am not filled with confidence about it.

This seems egregious and highly inappropriate. Whatever your personal thoughts on the game, this is very very wrong.

If you have friends in the media, pass the word along, please. This is something that should very much be looked into.

If I'm honest, I don't think this is anything new. I'm sure things like this happened on the forums over at thesims3.com too when the game first came out.

I miss the days of The Sims 2 BBS, that forum and team was so much better.

That's good to hear. It's necessary to have both extremes, positive and negative because often, the truth lies somewhere in the middle. To censor either side is to lie to yourself. Thank you for your efforts to have a balanced community.

So it seems matters are even worse than I thought.
At first I thought maybe it was just overly positive people flagging negative posts as inappropriate to have them auto-removed but it seems that EA has attached a sink to my post regarding this subject on the official boards so that it doesn't get bumped to the top when people reply. This is extremely inappropriate behavior.
